I really want to loose some weight. I even prayed for help with my cravings. I know that is more than likely the best thing along with the only thing I feel like doing which is walking. I do not care if I have to eat the same thing for 2 weeks either, whatever will work.
I pushed the stroller with Taryn last night and walked 30 minutes. I am soar this morning. But still am going to walk when I walk Ali to the bus stop and plan on doing it again tonight.
I have plenty of water that I will drink drink drink with some lemon squezzed in.
Besides just totally cutting back, what has worked for you quickly? Even if it does not show on the scale, if I could get to a size 8-10 since I am HOLDING a 12......that would be GREAT!! I am very motivated right now and know it can be done. Was just a lot easier in my 20's!
Thanks! Amanda
Lay on your back
lift your back to the west
and roll your skin downwards with a rolling pin. Really
Nah, just kidding
I took off 10 lbs in a month with green tea. Then I stopped drinking it and gained that + back! Ick.
Thats the only thing I can think of right now!
Honestly, it's not healthy to lose that much weight quickly. You don't want to starve yourself either, because then you'll gain even more back.
That said, if you haven't done it lots before, you can lose significant weight by cutting out carbs and sugars. It often just drops off during week 2.
And stay as far from sodium as you can. That way you will lose water weight.

Chip understood that with me, and I think that Charles will understand that, also.
What's going on in your life right now, with suddenly being a "single mom" while he is in Iraq, working a stressful job, having Lyme Disease, yourself, and trying to deal with two Lyme sick children, one with ADHD and the other, the baby, being sick all the time, AND, taking up my slack taking care of your grandmother, surely, he will understand that diet and exercise are way down on your list of things to do.
lookin4answers, is my daughter. And, I am very proud her and not only the things that she has done, but, the good she does for the community and all her work with the Family Rediness Group (group of family and friends of soldiers in IRAQ) and she does it with honor and humility.
I'm sure that her husband, SFC. Charles Franks, will be as proud of her too, no matter what her weight is now. You've never been overweight before and this too will work itself out.
Love,
Mom
Many here do great with a variation of that.
I don't believe in hard core no carb for health reasons, but I do think no potatoes, little sugar (only natural in some fruit alone in AM) no white flour, ect..it very good for us. I also feel veggies are important, too..so I cut out all complex carbs and try and eat 75% veggies with lunch and dinner, with a good protein.
Healthy chicken soups with HUGE AMOUNT of dark greens and garlic and very little barley is easy to make, fridge, freeze..and so good for you!
Anyway..this would make you FEEL good..
But your Mom is hitting things on the head..
a man in love with someone like you doing so many extrordinary things just does not see afew extra pounds!!
If it would make YOU feel better, I have found this way of eating to give me more energy and keep illness related weight down.
HAVE A WONDERFUL REUNION with that soldier!!

Chip hung in there throughout my 4 "fat" years and now, though I can't just eat anything I want, I certainly have lost more weight than I ever planned on loosing.
I even got down to a scary, for me, weight and didn't want to loose anymore.
You never know with LD, if, or when this will happen, but, I believe that you'll return to your natural weight as soon as you've been in treatment a little longer.
Like I said, Charles is a good man and since he's been in IRAQ I believe that he'll be even more understanding about these things.
Fretting about him coming home and seeing you like this, will only make you want to eat more, I'm sure.

Worked for me. May not work for everyone.
