I was diagnosed last week and have started Rocephin IV. I have a 3 day trip coming up and my doc said I could take doxycycline while I was gone and resume the IV after the trip. Does this seem like a reasonable way to go? Or would it mess things up for me? Thanks.

I'm on oral and don't know enough about IV abx to answer your question, but you might want to post this over on medical questions.
