I think I answered your post in medical, but I am not sure. It may have been someone else that posted.

In any case, I couldnt do mepron. I would have committed suicide or seriously hurt one of my children.

I was very very depressed and mean? I called my 6 year old beautiful little girl a swear word and thats the day I ended the mepron. I only lasted two weeks.

There are better ways to kill babesia than to want to kill myself or hurt my children.

Im sorry my advice is dismal, but I will never touch mepron again.

Alot of people get over that hump and then feel really good, but need bottles upon bottles of mepron. Obviously, it doesnt get rid of babesia.

Have you tried artemisinin?

Hi COL,

I am just wondering why you say that "obviously Mepron doesn't get rid of Babesia"?

It takes many bottles of it.

Ive not heard of too too many getting rid ofr babesia in just one crack, especially not on Mepron.

OK, thanks for clarifying. It sounded at first as if you were saying it didn't kill Babs, period. Yes, it does seem to take many rounds of it.

I have noticed an increase in "gloom" and rage, etc.

I was on Mepron in November but I had no emotional side effects. However, I was on and still taking a mental health drug at the time of dosage as I was diagnosed tooo late and already had the psychological side effects. I would recommend that you contact your MD and let them know-you may be in need of so additional RX's that can assist you. Pls, Pls if you really feel gloomy call your PH. I just know what I went through and what can happen if you don't seek help. I'm speaking from a pyschological stand point of course.

Oh Joy, I am starting Mepron as soon as I find someone to take me into the pharmacy to pick it up.

I was on mepron/zith/ceftin & artemisinin for 6 months and I experienced anger and irritable only when herxing..which was definitely every 4 weeks.

The longest herxes were in the beginning and got better as time went on. I was on Lexapro however & still felt these feelings, so I can't totatlly say for me that it was the mepron or any of the other meds.

I think it's the the toxicity of illness not necessarily the mepron....Maybe you can pinpoint but I could not....Hang in there it's a very good protocol especially with the Artemisinin (nutricology is LLMD recommended brand)

Better days are ahead!!! Keep your head up and take care of yourself...If the Mepron is too much, than let the doc know...Some folks can't tolerate it for some reason....Take care!!!

PinchotGail.....(or others with experience)

I a starting Mepro/ketek/artemisinin on wednesday. LLMD presribed the Mepron and Ketek and said it was ok to take with the Artemisinin but didn't know the dose for the Artemisinin.

What does Artemisinin did you take? Did you take the mep and art at the same time of day?

Thanks for the help,
robi

Robi,

I took my artemisinin 100 mg. 3x a day....about 2 hours after each meal. No one said to do that, but I didn't want the Art in there swimming around with the mepron and zith & ceftin(which was a.m. & p.m. meals)

I took it with my probiotics......Probably should ask the doc about which is best...and it may just might not make a difference when to take. I just liked it separated.....
