Hi! I have noticed a couple of times now that the posts total in medical goes over 100 000 and then we lose a heap and it goes below.
Anyone know why, Sue from Downunder.

I've been wondering too. Maybe they are dumping some. This has been done in the past, as a housecleaning measure. I always worry that good stuff is being lost. Of course, that depends on how often people do searches.
The other thing I noticed is that when I got to the last page listed, no other pages were available. Was going thru them in hopes of finding some previous info that didn't turn up on a search for several words and even the name of the poster. I wish more pages were available to flip thru, and that the search box gave some different choices. Like past 6 mos or something.
This should probably be posted on the computer questions forum.

It has to be a housekeeping measure. To make room for new posts.
One good reason to save important post and info onto your computer.

I think it is most likely to prevent what happened a few weeks ago.
When you take up so much space in memory it can slow the system down where eventually you cannot get into the discussion at all.

I think Kara is correct.I know there were problems. I was told that even the missing stuff might be able to be assessed thru a google search. If you need to find something and it isn't here, you could try google and then bookmark it on your computer..
