I already have celiac disease, so gluten has been out for years.
I usually have an omelet with some sort of veggies (kale, spinach, brocolli, onion, pepper, asparagus, etc) and cheese.
I get tired and bored with omelets some times, or just don't want to cook.
Please share your favorite breakfast ideas!
Thanks

I don't suggest you follow my actual breakfast, coffee and a pear, because I know it's not the healthiest choice.
But other ideas are:
Hi-Lo Cereal with unsweetened soy milk - it's the only truly low-carb cereal I've found. It's something like 10 grams carbs (real carbs, not the weird Atkins net carb scam) and 11 grams of protein
Plain yogurt with nuts (if you don't take abx with breakfast)

I have a Protein shake. I dont know if it would fit into the Low Carb thing..I eat only high carb foods normally.

Have you checked the Atkins bars? They're really boring, but taste good, and I don't think they have gluten ... at least some of them are gluten-free. Try the Pralines and Cream and the Chocolate Mocha Crunch.
One thing that we do is to have "left overs" from the night before. It's so easy to just reheat it.
Sometimes we have soup for breakfast. It's so nice on those chilly mornings.
If you can have breakfast for lunch or dinnner, who says that you can't have dinner for breakfast?

If you can have "good" carb berries, you might try my favorite breakfast smoothie (I'm also no-gluten...and no dairy):
*unsweetened soy milk *frozen strawberries and/or blueberries *vanilla protein powder (the kind w/out sweeteners or other additives) *a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter
Blender it up and enjoy!

yum ...that shake idea sounds great! I guess I'll need to check the carbs in protein powders. I noticed that metagenics has recently come out with a low carb protein shake mix, too
Last night's leftovers may be a good option too. I've been making big batches of soup lately.
Thank you all These ideas are all so helpful!

Somettimes I make protein shakes with: Soy/rice or cow milk, almond or peanut butter and Garden of Life goat protein powder. I know the goat thing sounds yucky, but Dan Rubin, a naturopathic doctor who cured himself of a death sentence with Chron's disease states that goat's milk may be the most perfect protein (because of size of molucule and digestion and so on). I used to add bananas and flax seed oil, but i've recently read that we shouldn't be eating either of those.

Paisley: I drink atleast 1.5 gallons of goatmilk a week. And when I wake up achey and disoriented with vision problems, a big glass of goatmilk (ah, protein !) really helps to set me straight!
