Dear Melanie,

Thanks so much for the information for newbies. It will take me a while to read through and retain it all so I can then formulate coherent questions. That seems to be increasingly more difficult with Lyme.

But I can tell the info is well suited for those of us just getting started. I should've become more knowlegable about Lyme way back when they first diagnosed me, but I thought I just had an infection requiring antibiotics and that would be it. I had no idea that with this illness you have to arm yourself with knowledge, fight for treatment and once you get something, hope it works.

It seems 400 mg of Doxy is a dream come true for many. I should be thankful, at the same time I wonder if it will only help me live healthy for a time until the doctor pulls the plug.

And is Dox enough by itself?

Can I call a lab myself and ask for co infection tests or have a doctor do it?

I need perspective. I need to know how much co enzyme Q-10 I should take, and how much Vitamin C.

Overwhelmed but appreciative,
Meem

What will the CoQ10 do for me exactly? Is it used to help make the antibiotic more effective? Is it for the heart or immunity?

I heard I should take CoQ10 with High amounts of Vitamin C and Magnesium-have you heard of that combo of meds?

Meemer
