Please thank those involved in providing the bus..We could not have attended otherwise.
I had to thank you now since I may spend most of tomorrow catching up on zzzzz's. It is 1:30 am and I just got in the door.
It was a great event, wasn't it? Very informative AND great entertainment.. unfortunately, we didn't get to meet... or maybe we did and didn't know it! I stayed till the end too and live right up the street, but didn't get in bed till 2:00 a.m.! Had to drive my mom home who babysat for us and its an hour roundtrip... I really don't like driving at night since the lyme stuff, esp. when I am tired! Take care
Stephanie
I was the overweight, short, grey and black ( mostly grey) haired gal, wearing all white..I had appliqued metallic bells on the sweater..I love the outfit but what was I thinking? I later caught a glimpse in the mirror and thought the white hippo..Ugh..Basic black, here I come.
Please tell Leslie how wonderful it was and to thank those responsible for the bus..We would not have been able to attend otherwise.
I was especially pleased to hear Joseph..He is so poised and intelligent..It gives me hope to see someone, so young that is rising above his disease. I pray that my very sick teen will someday rise above it too. lymemomtooo
I was also there and had a fun time. Late night for us, too. I'm getting back to normal, whatever that is
I also came on the bus (hi lymemomtoo!) I happened to think you looked wonderful for our night out
It was also nice to meet you.
Stephanie, glad you made it! I was with my husband and had on a black coat with a lyme green fuzzy scarf. (I don't think basic black was helping me, R.A.!) I did have lots of compliments on my scarf though!
I enjoyed hearing Dr. F and Dr. S and Pat Smith, as well as the two brave young patients. My son plays the violin and I was blown away by that high school girl playing. She was amazing. Glad they kept the food warm for all of us on the bus!
I also want to thank those that made this event possible. (I'm not THE Leslie that started this, I'm just a greateful attendee)
Leslie
Yes, Joseph was a great speaker, I saw him when he came in downstairs sitting with the group of doctors and thought he was one of them.. certainly didn't look sick, but then again, most of us don't. How old is your son? I'm sure he will rise above it with a mom like you.. it just takes time to get it under control.
My children have both been exposed to it in utero... they are all but 5 and 8 (in Jan).. Gabby the oldest seems fine, but I worry about Caleb.. we have had them to Dr. Jones to get checked and he didn't feel the need to treat at this time, thought they were fine.. but......you know how it goes!
Hi Fish (Leslie),
I don't remember seeing you either, where did you sit? It was a great night though.. where are you guys from?
