After many years and thousands of dollars spent, Dr. Whitaker has just called me to say thay have at last received a patent for their fluorescent/antibody test.The patent number is 6838247.This gives more authority for the results reported. It was good news. I wondered when it would ever happen. Ted

The patent was issued to the Bowen Research laboratory. For those that don't know, the site of the laboratory has been changed, the address being 1200 S. Pinellas Avenue, Units 11 & 12, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 Their phone and fax numbers will remain the same.

Is there an "official" release anywhere I can forward around or are you it?
I was just reading about this and if I understand it correctly the test actually looks for the Bb unlike existing tests that look for the antibodies to the Bb?
I'm getting ready to have my blood drawn for a western blot on Monday to send to Igenex and I'm wondering if I should consider this test instead?

no it only means they own the exclusive rights to the testing methods which they have created with the q-rib.
accredidation comes at both the state and federal level, it is a very rigorous progress.
the patent doesn't promise anything, lot's of things are patented that don't even work for their intended purposes.
bowen still has a long way to go to prove their credibility to the medical community and regulatory boards that will decide the legitimacy of their uncertain future.
