I had two more out yesterday! I only have one to go! I'm not real sure when I will get that one out. Hopefully by summer. I loaded up on the Chlorella yesterday and today.

All night I kept finding bits of silver in my mouth... that can't be a good thing.

Not really. My Dentist said my insurance doesn't ask for x-rays for fillings. So they cover it with no questions asked. Two fillings cost me $120. In the long run it's good for the insurance co. because the silver fillings lead to crowns eventually. So they would be dumb to not cover it. And we all know insurances companies are never dumb.

How did you convince your dentist to take them out?

Mine reg dentist wont touch my mercury for squat... says he will cover it up though ( NO!!)

Ya have to break legs to get them to take em out? What did you have it replaced with?

Crime,
It really hasn't been a conscious effort. The ones with the silver fillings keep getting cavities in them. So they slowly have been getting replaced.

Yesterday she was replacing one and I asked her about the one right beside it and she said, ``Sure, while you're numb.'' I think she thinks they are pretty bad for you but she won't really say it.

The reason is, I think, her Dad was my dentist before her. She took over his practice. So I don't think she wants to come out and say ``my dad poisoned you!'' Not that I would blame him he was old. Real nice guy though.

She just says they are more likely to get cracked and what not and they are worth replacing. I'm not real sure what she fills them with. It's the same color as my tooth.

Hi there. What's this about silver fillings? I have like a whole mouth full and more to go. My teeth started going to pot only after Lyme conqeured my body. Have you or anybody else's teeth been affected this way? I take very good care of my choppers but they still get those darn cavities! But anyway please let me know about the silver fillings ok? Thanks!!

Lenny....your insurance covers this? Only the removal or the filling? How many can they do at a time? cost per tooth?.... thanks for the info..

Well, I may have been a little unclear. I've had about 5 replaced and 4 of those were teeth that already had a silver filling and then a secondary, if you will, cavity. So they really had no choice but to pay for it. There was only one that was switched out without a new cavity in it. My dentist said they don't have to turn in x-rays on cavities they just pay for it. Now if I had like 10 of them switched out at one time they might have a problem. I don't know. I didn't ask too many questions. After insurance it was about $60 per tooth.

Fairytale76,
I'm in no way am qualified to explain silver fillings. Do a search on heavy metals by GiGi. There's a post on Medical right now by me "GiGi... metals" that GiGi has a good answer on.
