You'll need a longer course of abx treatment than the 30 days. This is very common as lyme can be difficult to eradicate.
You may need to find a doctor that specializes in the disease to get treated properly. The pain from lyme can be very severe.
Often people experience a worsening of symptoms when they do their initial abx, as the bacteria release their toxins when they die-off from the abx.
Check the link for support groups on the left of the page , and scroll through until you find support groups for your state. E-mail the folks there, and they can steer you towards a decent doc. Good luck, and feel free to ask any questions.
And even if he/she did, you might have co-infections from the tick. They carry alot of nasty diseases. Some of the diseases require different meds to clear.
