I've been having stomach and possible liver/gallbladder problems. Right now I'm going through GI and doc wants me to have a
hida scan which I'm reluctant to do.

Bottom line, I've been off abx for a month and when I try to take them, pain gets worse in liver gallbladder area.

My pain is finally starting to subside but is still there. I've heard of many alternative optimns i.e. samento and artemisinin I just started taking and heard that can be hard on the liver.

LLMD suggested taking 1 zithromax a week until problem resolved.

Does anyone know of other options besides a rife machine? I'm researching rife machines and just got Bryan's book.

I was doing pretty well prior to all of this but noticed I'm having buring sensations in feet and pain/neuro symptoms coming back.

Am currently using Ultraclear Plus to detox and oil of oregano recommended by alternative DO.

Has any one experienced this and what did you do?

If you need the scan, It's not that bad.

I got it before. It is a nuclear scan, but

it's pretty much painless...except for the

initial shot. No biggie. Other than that,

all you have to is lay still most of the

time and take a break to eat peanut butter

crackers. (or something else fatty).

I know I'm considered a bit of a heretic

about this, but after years of ABX, I cut it

loose. After I did I felt worse than ever...

almost like I did before any treatment.

Then the strange stuff. Symptoms I never

really had before, at least not as bad.

It's been wierd, though. After they each

passed, they were pretty much gone.

I'm not the first lyme patient with this

experience. It's like we're nuts to everyone

else, but the farther I get from my last

treatment, the better I feel. I was told

to try and stay away from the abx for 2 yrs

and let my body heal from the damage done

by them. I went the whole GI route, but

now is when I'm not stuck in bed anymore.

As far as my GI problems, they stay under

control best when I eat frequent small

meals. None larger than what fits on a

dessert plate. This way personally I can

eat just about anything I want. As long as

the portions are small.

Keep me posted whatever you choose.

Hi all,

Linda,

Thank I know you take abx on weekends right? How are you feeling doing that method? LLMD wants me to take 1 zithromax until this is figured out. My symptoms are getting better but I've been detoxing like crazy.

Currenty, I'm taking Ultra Clear Plus and oregano oil.

Glass,

I'd love to hear your story. When you stopped abx symptoms got worse then went away? Where are you at today...in treatment or not on abx? How long were you on abx total?

I got lucky and lost my gallbladder when I was 23, 3 years before my lyme reared its head,

but I do have leaky gut syndrome, MCS and many other issues ( including seven stomach diagnoses) that totally prevent me from taking abx. I have been off of them for 6 months, against my will, but I CANT do them.

Theres some things you can do in the meantime:
Sauna, Rife ( know you mentioned that one) garlic, samento ( Ive never done samento... but some swear by it) and any herb you can find that has antibacterial properties to it.

My gallstones showed up on a regular xray, I got lucky. I hope this all gets figured out. What about injections of some sort?

Sorry you are having a difficult time.
I have been doing iv abx to protect my GI tract, and for severe neurolyme...
Part of my suppliment protocal is myer's drips with lots of vit c, phosotytial choline pushes(protects the liver), glutethyion pushes(reduces swelling), and alternate weeks of lipoic acids drips...helps with detox. I also use oral suppliments.

If your liver is very sore , and/or swollen, Integrative Manual Therapy will surely help. Center IMT has a clinic in Boulder... www.centerimt.com

I had years of liver problems before dx...probably lyme hepatitis... a cleansing diet helped some, but the IMT treatments changed the whole scene. I'm so glad I got that help before I need abx therapy. I continue with IMT treatments every week. LLMD"s office says I'm progressing rapidly..not enough for me though.

I think all LD patients should get IMT treatment....

Hope you are feeling better soon!

Hi Crime,

I finally did the hida scan and guess what it's normal...yeah I guess. LLMD's office recommended daily injections of abx but I'm allergic to penicillin, ceclor, and keflex.

I've been doing garlic, artemenisin, and just purchased samento. At this point in time I think my liver is unhappy..that's what accupuncturist is saying.

Next Saturday I'm seeing a lady who does full body scans on a computer. Her machine has a built in rife machine when she's doing the treatment. I can't wait to check that out. Today I'm going on the eby and purchasing a portable sauna.

Achey,

I may have to look at IV's. I do have severe neuro symptoms...they started a few years before actual lyme dx. In the past I've done myers and they are helpful. Right now I'm trying to locate someone who does glutithione pushes but haven't been successful in finding anyone yet.

Boulder is an hour from where I live so I could drive there to get some IMT done...it sounds good. What is choline pushes...I've never heard of those and who is doing them?

How are you doing on abx and did it make a difference in the liver?

Hi snowboarder
I'm doing really well on Iv abx. I'm so glad my LLMD said it was my only real option. My liver is holding up well...have weekly blood draws with live and kidney checks, and after 6 months, everything is still good.

I attribute much of my balance to the IMT..it really helps my body to do it's own healing and reverse neurological patterns that are unhealthy..like my previous siezures... and vision and hearing problems, irregular heart beats, swelling ..lymph problems.

The other good thing for me with the IMT is being able to test all my drugs and suppliments to make sure everything I am taking benifits all my organ systems.

I tried to heal with just IMT, homeopathy, naturopathy, diet and exercise, but I needed abx. Abx have helped me turn the corner, and have illiminated many symptoms that I thought were just part of being me. It's a pretty amazing journey!

Wish you well!
