Has anyone here used Angel Flights? I will be using them July 5th and 7th to go to MO to see Dr C. I was just wondering how the flight is, what the planes are like and what to look foward to.
Going without a pottie for 5 hrs will be a challenge and plan on loading up with dramamine before boarding.
Just need some input.

Yes I flew with them lots. Most are newer Bonanzas and the like. Six seaters. You can take a companion if you get them signed up. just one more page of paper work Also the pilot will call you a day or two before you go. Make sure they have headphones...my second one didn't and it was horrid. They should provide you with them. all the pilots were great, understood my fear of flying and were fine with it. some let me sit up front with them..which actually helped. They are a wonderful wonderful organization. Are you going nonstop? Or might you land to fuel at least and have a pit stop yourself? anyhow, you will be ok, and it sure beats the drive. Much less exhausting. IF I could get my dtr on a small plane we would be doing it now.

I have flown with Angel Air a few years ago. I flew on the Cessnas as the doctor that I saw was a couple of states away. The bigger seating planes are nicer than the two-seaters. Less bumps, and I found the pilots to be great.
I found I had no trouble breathing, as fresh air is recyled through the plane unlike big commercial.

Oh good! I'm glad you're not going by Greyhound! yipppeee!!! "just don" goes by angel flights....but I know he's busy with his "girls"...his cattle!
I would have trouble with a 5hr flight myself....yikes!

Try to make certain you have a backup plan, an alternate way to get to your appointment. Angelflight canceled on us the day before my son's appt. in Missouri and we really had to scramble to find a way to get there.

Might be better than having to be *canceled*( as in stamped--like the mail--just trying to be funny!), each time I fly Fed-Ex, or "Brown"

Thanks again for your replies. I am using Greyhound as a backup plan..15 hr trip though, but if I have to I will do that. I will know on July 1 if the flight is a go as the Holiday weekend starts on Sat-Mon. I will be flying on the 5th and leaving on the 7th. If I cannot make it home by flying I will do the Greyhound...ugh..but it will get me home.
I just hope I am feeling better than I am now the day of take off whether by air or bus. I need Dr C to see this way...someone has to understand all of this.
