Welcome to LymeNet!
I too am in the Landscape business, and also have pulled countless ticks off of myself through the years. I suppose it is one of the hazards of the profession
Your nephew is running into the same problems that most of us have dealt with...a complete lack of understanding concerning Tick Borne diseases.
He really needs to go to a qualified Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD) for a complete evaluation ASAP.
You can post in the ``seeking a doctor'' section with your location and an email contact, and someone will get back to you with referrals.
Time is of the essence...

Borrow the money or get help from the business owner. Take out a loan, anything.
Also, a man testified in the MD Senate on March 10, 2005 where the brother did the talking for him. He had been a successful landscaper and well off. He was first diagnosed with ALS. The brother looked like he had cerebral palsy and sat there and cried the whole time.
It was so sad! Don't let this happen again. May the LDA can help him and give him some funds.
