Hey Peanut!
She is so lucky to have you as a pal!
so sorry she has lyme...this is a hard disease to bear both for the sufferer and the care-givers and loved ones...helplessness is a pervasive and normal feeling.

Where in the general area in CA does your friend live?
Is she getting treatment from a qualified lyme literate medical doctor?

Feel free to e-mail me and we can get her set up with a support group and lyme literate medical doctor. We don't broadcast names of docs here to keep their confidentiality.

you may want to visit www.lymedisease.org
this is the California Lyme Disease Association website. They can direct you to resources in your friend's area.

Here is TreePatrol's links for new members! http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/029917.html

You are a gem and the kind of friend we all need in our corner with this brute of an illness!
Wishing you and your friend blessings of healing and hope

Ty Pip I tried the link for the California branch that u put up there and it gave me a link cannot be displayed ....i did enjoy the other link though it put so much in words that she was trying to describe but just could not find the right words...gotta love those "foggy" days

WOW! I am impressed by how understanding you are! It is so nice of you to want to help your friend. Everyone should have and be a friend like you!

I am sorry your friend has this terrible disease. The link pippy gave is a great group in CA and should be able to help with names of doctors, etc. Retry the link. It works for me now so perhaps it was just temporarily down.

Here is some info:

Insurance and Free Med Resources

Info for patients

Chronic Lyme disease

Lyme Diagnosis and Treatment

Hope this helps!

Best wishes!
Cheryl
