You will be pleased to hear there is one less tick in the world today. Yesterday I felt something crawling on my arm while I was driving the car. I swerved off the road, slammed on the breaks and grabbed that little sucker. Squeezing it between my fingers, I slowed it down then went in for the kill.I used my fingernail to decapitate it and then smeared what was left across my dashboard. The not so great but powerful Oz has spoken.
I don't think I was in my yard for 5 minutes before getting in the car and don't for a second think you can squeeze them to death.

Hope you washed your hands. IMO, it is dangerous to touch those things at all. If you had an unknown break in your skin, bacteria from the crushed tick could walk right in.
