He's a golfer, and his wife earlier said he has lyme.
I asked him later what antibiotics are you on? He couldn't remember, but he said it was only for a day!!!
I tried to explain it, but just got that look.
I'm sure you know the look I'm talking about!
He said he wasn't even sure it was a tick because he was able to flick it off.
He had a round, hard, heated bump on his thigh!
He said it was a little bigger than a deer tick. I said probably because it already had it's meal!
One freaking day on antibiotics? His own daughter who is in ballet, said two of her girlfriends have lyme!
I don't give a crap, but I bombarded his mother with all sorts of info. to send to him and his wife!
I get so upset, and then start getting paranoid, and thinking maybe it's just me worrying about other people having to go through this horrible disease!
One day! Duck said it was an infection. Even if it wasn't a tick, wouldn't you have to treat longer than a day??
People look at me like I'm nuts, and then my paranoia hits and think maybe I'm going crazy! Is it just me, or have any of you gone through this experience?
I sure don't have any confidence in that. The spirochetes can hide out in the tissue and come out later and you don't have any antibodies until about 6 weeks later. That is why you need to have at least a month to 6 weeks of antibiotics.
I will try to find that article about the one pill.
I have heard hundreds of stories of people whose relatives haven't a clue and don't want to know about Lyme disease and how awful it can be.
You are a good person to try to educate them, and I don't think paranoia has anything to do with this. You are trying to be helpful and thank you for that.

Did a great thing...you did.
Yep...happens alot...but they will have a change of heart when they come down with everything else.
Unfortunately...it will be far more progressed at that point.

Sometimes I just think it's me! I know I can't save the world, but if I can educate people, maybe they won't take things so lightly.
I would be interested to know about the one pill though. Maybe it wasn't a tick that bit him, but prevention is worth a pound of cure!!
Again thanks!
