I've been on Zithromax and Mepron for a couple of weeks now and, other than a bit of nausea, I'm doing quite well. My energy is up a bit. I am still a dingbat on occasion, but perhaps that's the menopause, or just me. But I see all these entries about herxing, and it hasn't happened to me yet. Is this good news or bad? or neither? When would it mostly likely hit?
I've had very mild Lyme symptoms--perhaps my immune system jumped all over the bugs and subdued them right away, so maybe the herxing would be mild, too?? So much seems unpredictable.
I had a brain scan yesterday to check for any damage in that department. I hate driving in San Francisco, especially when I get the occasional case of dingy-ness. I did well, though. Only bumped one car. Posted by treepatrol (Member # 4117) on :

I didnt herx untill second month then it went on & on for seemed like forever
I had two strains that they were sure of and the dang things seemed to cycle at different times soooo it was a continual herx for a while, then I only have them every 28 to 34 days.
I would start acheing first then a couple of days later I would get tremendous headcold symptoms. This would last anywhere from a week to 10 days.
Maybe you just havent been on abx's long enough yet or you caught it early or they havent cycled yet spirochetes or your laod of spirochetes is low thus not enough toxins produced either way keep treating.
