Been a while the last time I posted I lost my father after 27 years of a MS diagnosis and then to find LD test positive 18 months before he passed on... and progress the whole way from the first month of treatment, but alas it was to little too late.. and my husband's autopsy listed his death the year before as the 6th causative factor of death as being Lyme Disease thanks to Bowen and the pathologist at Robert Wood Johnson Medical in NJ.
My youngest son James (16) has been tagged with numerous medical illnesses: I.E. Bi-Polar, diabetes, thyroid, ADHD, socail and preformance anxiety, anxiety/depression, and of course the key element to all of the above: Lyme Disease. James takes his meds regularly yet we are standing still which is far better than progressive decline in health which you all will agree I'm sure. HE is cyebr schooling until this move(no cybers available in Florida!) now home schooling until I get his GED and advance him to College to gain an edge on the employment world...

My Eldest Eugene has ADHD, first degree heart block, anxiety/depression, and multiple issues that still remain unresolved such as strench marks and he has always been on the low end of the growth chart never over weight.. they were supcicious of Marfan syndrome but there are not enough flags to place him under that. he has a mildly concaved upper chest, forgot what they call that. mild scoliosis in the lower back.
thier father most recently passed away in 2003 from a heart attack, his medical problems throughout life were strikenly close in pattern, I had a DNA test runto find out if all of this was passed via genetics!

Guess what.... there was nothing found in the DNA that was abnormal what did that leave..... Infectious disease that is the only reason why the pathologist heeded to my pleads to run the Bowen on my husbands slowly deteriorating blood sample to find out if he has LD. I was desperate to find out what the common factors were in health related areas that may explain why both parent and child were similar in medical complications and if it was not DNA it had to be infectious!!
Dont' anyone tell me that Lyme can not be passed via pregnancy nor that the sperm aren't affected by it either.
I do not have the same heart problems as their father I have other heart related problems so why then does my son follow his father?
My mother and sister are still in PA and being seen by Dr. S.... My aunt will still be seeing Dr Fab..
I am now in Florida and not finding medical care of course we are all on medicaid which means we can not afford to go to a real doctor of choice. I am on the verge of loosing our home which has been a nightmare from the time we left PA...even the ride down was plagued with horrors. Almost as if I was being told to turn around NOW!LOL

I never closed on my home supposed to be on July 8th never happened it is not my credit either which took the last bit of life out of me to turn that around after a horrible abusive marriage... It is the appraisal never came in at the asking price so I was 2,000 off and I had no way of raising more money to close; the seller would not negoiate and we were now living in the house!
any way the thorn now is someone never made me fill out a DAC on my children which should have been done in the past 2 years... so the survivor benefits o me are stopped, along with my eldest sons benefits sine he is now 18 being stopped short so I can not meet the last part of the loan requirements which I would have two months ago had they closed then.. we are down to 1/3 the income we had when we moved here in July!
Yikes..
I know everyone on here can relate to this as LD destroys everything we work hard to build..I was forced to withdraw my downpayment out fo the titel company in order to pay rent and catch up my bills that were over due.. and await the SSA office determination on the DAC reports. Praying that they will be eligible or we will be homeless for Christmas. I am paid for til Dec 8th and then I have no downpayment for the closing which is 7,000.00 nothing to some but our lives hang in the balance.

LD is a major problem and the medical community needs to get it together on the research and findings or more and more people will be in our shoes and the governemnt can't afford to help.. think of how bad our economy is becoming gas prices and now with Katrina and Rita!
Think of the rise of reported disability in our country alone!
We are a dying race and Lyme Disease has to be cured and fast... they are tying it in with Syphilis and Lupus and HIV read this :
http://www.anapsid.org/lyme/jones.html
They also found a culture that can detect B. burgdorferi spirochetes even after treatment with long term antibiotics..(people who are supposed to be treated and well!!!) I find it fascinating if nothing else..

Iam glad to here from ya wish you didnt have to be here though. [shake]
You sure have had a run of it.

Yes I read this before http://www.anapsid.org/lyme/jones.html I think its in my Newbie links too.
From there
{syphilis&aids}AIDS experts readily acknowledge the high correlation between being HIV-positive and having had syphilis, but only insofar as the sores produced by syphilis allow HIV to enter the body more easily. However, some theorists argue that untreated or inadequately treated syphilis may be a factor in the development of AIDS -- especially as new evidence suggests bacterial infections can "wake up" an otherwise latent, inactive HIV infection.
And guess whats its first cousin uhhuh LYME [bonk]

Yeah treepatrol
I got that .. Lyme disease is cousins to Syphilis YUCKYUCK!
almost right when I found out I had it... ..before any md had the opportunity to tell me.. I do like to research when the research is good!
I haven't felt up to it until lately I am so sick I can't do much of anything else.. so dig, dig, dig...

so an educated guess might lead one to think that if syphilis is tied into HIV and is cousins to Lyme ..then lyme is tied to HIV... [Smile] great thinking there eh..
but they may be mutated in some way or another.. hey I think I would like to become a lab techy gal...that would be an educated guess maybe.
I just don't have a clue how to formulate the findings to come to a deduction and prove the theory...

Well, I'm not sure about the LUPUS part of it as I do not research that one much.. although my Aunt was diagnosised with it many years ago and is now being treated for LYME.. SO GO FIGURE .. [Roll Eyes]
there must be a connection in there and that is why Jones was reffering one to the other in finding a culture that might prove HIV and Lupus and Syphilis, since they already have one for Lyme..He might be getting close to finding out what the mystery is all about.. I will have to follow this mans work...
Should prove interesting.. [bow]
