If she was getting her lyme medical advice from the ALDF (see donations paragraph in the obit), then this untimely end is more understandable.
For newbies: there are several lyme organizations which are good (LDA, LDF), but the ALDF is the black hat.

Going to the ALDF is the worst thing a Lyme patient can do. My opinion.

I agree...poor thing went to the wrong people..they could've hastened her death.

I think it needs to be pointed out the ALDF is the American Lyme Disease Foundation and is an "education/support" organization (though most of us do not agree with the kind of education or support that is given by this organization)
It is NOT a clinic or any sort of place to treat Lyme disease patients. One could not go there for treatment, and the woman being discussed could not have gone there.
Not knowing her situation or possible complications, I couldn't say she received wrong treatment.
The horrible thing with Lyme disease is that in a lot of cases,it weakens the immune system and opens the way to many other afflictions.

Maybe the family chose that gift to ALDF to prove a point that she died from it not cured by there guidlines?
