The flashing parts (the ads at the side, the graemlins list) hurt my lymey head, eyes, and nerves .
I keep trying to manoeuvre the page so that the flashing bits dont show.....

Yes they bother me too. The moving gremlins really bother me for some reason. It's neuro stuff.
It's one more thing our toxic brain finds difficult.

sign me up, I dont think any site that caters to sick people should have flashing anything especially just silly dancing icons that do nothing except replace words.
The first site I ever visited, Immune Support, has an option to turn the darn thing off so you dont have to be tortured by them.

Yeah, it shouldnt LITERALLY be a "Flash discussion"
It does seem peculiarly inappropriate that a web-site for people with Lyme Disease would include things that flash and move, seeing as a large number of us have severe neurological problems, including seizures, vertigo, photosensitivity and photophobia.
For me, such flashing and movement triggers seizure activity. I cant tolerate watching TV or even seeing cars zoom past me without mild seizure activity and attacks of vertigo. Even passing thru the park on a sunny day is a challenge, when the sunlight flashes thru the branches of the trees above.
I do my best to minimize exposure to all these things.....I wish a Lyme site would be a "safe" haven!
