Thank you for participating in the Stand Up For Lyme campaign to raise awareness of the prevalence of chronic Lyme and other TBDs in Texas, and to educate our community and state officials about the need to make it safe for our health care professionals to treat us for this debilitating illness.
While we work on some things behind the scenes, we are also in the process of developing a web site which will serve as our primary means of communication with both the Lyme community and the community at large. We would also like to sell t-shirts and other items to help raise money to cover our expenses as well as raise awareness.
To that end, we would like to get your ideas for a logo. If you are an artist and can provide the (digital) artwork, that would be terrific. If you're like me and have ideas but absolutely no talent to actually create them, then describe your vision as clearly as possible and we'll see if we can persuade someone with artistic talent to bring it to life.
In developing your ideas, keep in mind that the driving force behind "Stand Up For Lyme" is that it is time for the Lyme community in Texas to stand up, speak out, be counted, and be heard, all with the ultimate objective that everyone in Texas who has or will get Lyme disease will have easy access to lifesaving medical care.

you should have one of those animated simulations of the 'Shoot the Duck' game.
Nah... maybe a tad too alienating??
If I come up with a serious idea .. I'll get back.

I'm a graphic artist--if you have an idea I am happy to work it up for you. Remember, if someone else does the work be sure to get the art in a vector format, adobe illustrator or Freehand.
I would rather work from your idea--if I come up with something it may be a waste of time since it is my vision not yours.
Ideas--use the state of texas or a star.
Logos need to be very simple to be effective.
Also no more than two colors and no details. Remember this logo is going to need to faxed and stuff at around one inch--so if it is not simple your details wont come through and it will look sloppy.

here's my idea-
a crowd of people at the bottom - different heights maybe 3-5 people -
but the people shouldn't be detailed maybe just circle heads and rectangle bodies and lines for arms reaching up.
above them a big star with a lime green lyme ribbon in the center.
this goes with the slogan stand up for lyme...
and i like the people reaching up towards a lyme ribbon in a star
which could represent lyme in texas and the hope lyme awareness and treatment gives us....
I am a fine artist so I could do a rough sketch to convey the idea how i see it in my head but I have no idea how to lay out graphic work or use any graphic programs.

I like it; perhaps they could be standing in a Texas shape and reaching out from that.
Keep these great ideas coming! What we don't end up using for a logo could become t-shirts.
