Same to you BB..
While the surnames have been married off to the English and Scots-Irish, I can claim that my GGGrandmother came over with her Rosary from Ireland and it has been handed down thru the family..So at least for today, I am part Irish..
One year I even celebrated at a place that I think was called Flannigans in NY..I was in very rowdy company however..Saw a lot of green beer flying..NOt sure I am up to that type of play anymore...Well to be honest, not sure I was up to it then..

Some day I plan to be able to down a few mugs of green beer. Or dark beer. Or light beer. Any kind of beer! Posted by cbb (Member # 788) on :
Happy St Patrick's Day!!
Don't know if this is Irish, but for today, we can say it is. It's one of my favorites.
"May those who love us, love us. And those that don't love us, May God turn their hearts; And if He doesn't turn their hearts, May he turn their ankles So we'll know them by their limping."

may the wind be at our backs to get better....and may the buffalo's southend "wind" be in the ducs' faces when they inhale so we'll know them by the faces they make. .

Got this in e-mail today and it humored me...sorry, but I just had to share...
"May the wind at your back not be the result of the corn beef and cabbage you had for lunch...."
Hope you had a Happy St Patrick's Day

It was not a Happy St. Patty's for me... my car was smashed by someone running a stop sign.
I think my car is totalled. But so far, apart from a lot of soreness, a few bruises, and a sprained hand, I am okay.
I will have to check the police report, to see if that driver (a woman) was drinking.
Please remember, if you have to drink for St. Patty's, do it at home or designate a driver!
Regards, Shaz

Shaz, sorry to read about your totaled car, but that you ARE alive and with minor injuries.
Did she have insurance? I totally agree about drinking/driving... My best to you Shaz.

Thank you, Bettyg. Yes, she had insurance. The claims adjuster from her insurance company should be negotiations with me on Monday. (I want them to pay my deductible and rental car cost in addition to replacing my car.)
While I was sitting in my smashed car , feeling hurt all over, and upset, and confused (the officer never did get my driver's license from me, even though he asked for it), I couldn't help but think, This feels just like what I felt like when I was sick and herxing.
Don't let anybody try to convince you "it's all in your head." It isn't. My biggest wish right now is that this accident doesn't send me into relapse. So far, I am recovering pretty much as I should -- lots of bruises, but okay.
Deep, cleansing breath (okay, not too deep, the ribs still hurt), Shaz
