Dear Lyme friends,
This coming Thursday, March 23rd will be the first
hearing in Dr. Jones' case.

I know that many of you really want to do whatever you
can to support Dr. Jones. Many of you have already
contacted us to ask to attend the
hearing.

The room will only seat 100 people. There are still
about 60 seats available. If you would like to
attend, please email me with your name, email and
phone number. My address is [email protected]. That
way we hope that we will be able to avoid people being
turned away at the door because of an overflow.

If you are not able to attend this hearing, there will
be other hearings for Dr. Jones in the next few
months.

Dr. Jones has requested that we let everyone know that
IN THE HEARINGS, IT'S ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THAT THE
AUDIENCE BE VERY ORDERLY, QUIET AND VERY
RESPECTFUL.

Sorry to yell at you guys, but the orderly, respectful
demeanor of the audience in so essential that I had to
find a way to really hammer in the point.

We know from previous events how hard it is to remain
totally quiet without applauding, groaning and
sometimes even hissing.

BUT , this time anything other than an audience
wearing lyme green ribbons and bearing quiet witness
could antagonize the hearing committee and hurt Dr.
Jones!

Likewise, although we love our protests, it would be
detrimental to Dr. Jones if there were protests or
picketing at the site of the hearings. (I am not
saying anything about other events that may be
scheduled later AWAY FROM THE HEARINGS, but protests
of or at the hearings could really hurt Dr.
Jones'case.)

The hearing is March 23rd from 9 am until 3:30 pm in
Newington CT.

The exact address is:
Hartford Hospital at Newington Campus
Curtis Bldg
2nd floor ampitheatre
181 Patricia M. Genova Drive
Newington CT.

Thanks,
Ellen

(Copy/pasted from Medical Board)

Excellent, so far! And they haven't gotten to the respondent's (defense's) presentation yet.

They also didn't get to Shapiro's testimony yet. They interviewed Dr. J, and Martin Harwin (MD, retired). I do not want to share every detail of what I saw (and I would advise people NOT to divulge it all here, as the hearings are still proceeding), because I don't want to affect the progress of the case.

But I will say that I am encouraged by what I am seeing so far. Also, OpenEye Pictures was there, filming the whole thing as part of their documentary. Sweet!

Sleepily,
Shaz

Doc J's hearing was very sobering. It was difficult watching this man be questioned regarding his impecable care practice of children shunned by the medical community.
Doc J was very composed, articulate and caring -
as always.

There will be at least two more hearings --

I'm glad there is time to prepare between sessions.

Everyone please remember to garner as many donations to the legal fund as possible!

Doc J has a quality team but Doc J is under fire and this is costing a great deal of money (medical review hearings are not covered by any kind of insurance)
That's one way they try and break the knees of our LLMD's - by way of the financial devastation these proceedings bring.

I was shocked to hear that only 25 people showed up to support Dr Jones. He deserves a better turnout than that.

The next hearing is May 25.
