My doc started me on a once day dose just to see how I would react before we added more. I started on 250MG of zith and 500 of ceftin.
I noticed after several days that I got trembling in my arms that made them feel somewhat uncoordinated. It seemed to start 1 - 1.5 hours after I took the combo every day. The antiobiotic also made me feel VERY anxious (I dont normally feel anxiety) and it also made my tongue very red and sore. I stopped on day 10.
I tried just taking the zithromax only but same response.
I wonder if anyone else has had trembling or the other symptoms. This does not bode well for me....

Hi Nori,
I am taking the same abx as you, same dose. Yes, I developed trembling also. But it started when taking ketek and ceftin.
Sometimes it seems like trembling. Other times it is like a tremor and is hard to write. Most of the time now I would call it shaking chills.
I think these are herx symptoms, and hopefully, are transient and will resolve when enough of the bacteria is killed.

...Me too.Quite a bit of trembling at various times and with various combinations of abx. Sometimes I think it is the meds,but it seems like a part of the herxing too. It seems to fade in and fade out. I imagine it is fairly commen.

You're herxing. Dont' worry! If it gets to be more than you can handle, ask your dr if you can back off the meds for a day or two.
