We've got so many newbie lately, I felt the need to speak up now so the board is working for us all. It's not working for this neuro lymie, me.
Neuro lymie to me is one whose lyme has gone to the brain making it very hard to read & comprehend written things. By breaking things up to a smaller paragraph & double spacing, it helps me/others be able to decipher and understand what you are talking about.
I get lost reading long paragraphs with no double spacing in them.
Welcome newbies Focus, Carlie, and Carol,
Now I have a big favor to ask of you folks as a neuro lymie, please got back into each of your posts above and break up your long paragraphs into shorter ones and DOUBLE space between EACH of them please.
Then we lymies will be able to read/comprehend your posts/replies.
We really do enjoy being involved giving you our suggestions, experiences, advise, and lending support when you need it.
Please remember to do this on every post and reply.
Also, always have a SPECIFIC topic title about what you'll be discssing. Relationships & lyme was EXCELLENT! We knew at a glance what this is about.
Also, by having this info, we can do a search and have better luck finding this months and years later!
Be sure to print off TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS in medical, top of 1st page.
Print off Dr. B;s 05 lyme treatment guidelines too, 33-40 pages!
Also, if you chose to use the quotes " ", please delete the BOLD marks [/QB] at the beginning of the 2nd line underneath the poster's nickname, and at the end of the quoted material.
This way it shows up in normal print and NOT continuous bolding which causes SEVERE pain to my extremely sensitive lyme/doxy eyes.

[back to writing normally] ... Remember what it was like when you first got here? Didn't know the rules, didn't know what to do or not do??
So, lighten up just a little, OK? I think the topic titles are problem too....but we can handle it.
They will soon learn to be more specific because otherwise they won't get as many responses.

Tutu, I also agree with you on your example too.
Also, I was referring ONLY to this particular post that these 3 newbies posted on. NOT ALL PAST POSTS/REPLIES just to clarify this ok.

I have great difficulty reading posts that have double spaces between each line (as toots illustrated above).
I'd like to offer a suggestion as I think it confuses new members (as it does me and I've been here almost a year ).
The term neuro-lymies keeps being used and I don't even know what it means.
I mean I have a preponderance of neurological symptoms but they are certainly not limited to vision and/or comprehension.
As a way of explanation perhaps you can make the suggestion that this is for members that have trouble reading, seeing and/or comprehending large blocks of solid of text.
Some days I can and some days I can't... some days I just sort of go with the flow. ^shrugs^

Perhaps instructional posts such as these should be at the discression of our moderators?
I've had a couple of PMs from new members who felt criticized and sometimes 'attacked' when you requested double spacing, etc.
We have to remember that initial posts typically come from very confused and chronically ill people. I remember my own early days and what a maze this forum was for me. Whew!
People are reaching out for our help and we don't appear to be very supportive or user friendly when they are immediately instructed to post in a certain manner.
I also have low vision and some days it's quite difficult for me to read any type of post.
All in all, I think we need to lighten up, be more tolerant and most of all, offer as much support as possible.
Betty, please don't take this the wrong way. I post my reply out of concern, but with respect and regard to your feelings.

Thank you each for your thoughts and comments to what I addressed. I see each of your views and I do agree.
BB, you know I offer as much support and advise as I can since I can't sleep, so I'm on here ungodly hours now.
Each of you had a wonderful way using your tact to get across your suggestions.
I guess I'll just SOB, scroll on by, those presenting problems to me, and not take the time to break up the long paragraphs of other posters that I have done for months of subjects I WAS interested in.

Some of us have a hard time reading the broken up double spaced posts too, we're all different. If you need then double spaced, cut/copy/paste and double space then into your own notepad or word document so you can read them, or enlarge the text size on your screen.
