Boy, that is sure upsetting. I had something similar happen to me when I was guardian over my mother (before she passed away).
I can't tell you what to do on this one...I can only feel your pain.
Did you quit your job entirely? Did you have BCBS through your employer?

find your bcbs booklet they sent you; Iowa's booklet they sent me has very DETAILED instructions of what to do to APPEAL things...
Every state is different; call YOUR STATE'S BCBS office, and ask them to send you the instrucions and any FORMS needed to start the process! Bettyg ... so sorry to read of this! Posted by mlkeen (Member # 1260) on :
Ok, I have the PA version, so it might not translate, but if you had to be approved for the IV treatment you should still be approved, BSBS should provide a list of ther doctor/hospitals that can administer. You can still be Dr J's patient, but pay him out of pocket. BSBS should still pay for drugs and labs. In PA they aren't linked to seeing a network doc.
If you are not working apply for free drugs, Dr J's office should be able to do this.
When I did IV the llmd, out of net work, did this and I only paid the weekly OV fee.
you should be able to keep the PICC in for a short time, flushing it with saline daily until you can resume treatment.
