I'm supposed to be leaving for vacation on Sat. and I'm feeling crummy. Headache is back with a vengence.

I even omitted my biaxin this week because that gives me killer headaces. So I'm only on omnicef (have been for month so body could heal from 2nd month of leviquin.

Really getting worried about spending money to get away and not being able to enjoy myself. Also, I'm supposed to be the map reader. But I guess that is better than the driver!!!

One of these days.....

You poor thing!! [Frown]

I believe stress has been known to trigger flairs in symptoms. What can be more stressful than preparing for vacation. I hope you've planned a nice peaceful one. [Smile]

I know this is much easier said than done, but try to give yourself a mental break from Lyme.

1. Get yourself a nice soothing beverage.
2. Find some scented candles (if you can stand them).
3. Grab a good non-Lyme related book or magazine.
4. Take a long hot relaxing soak in a tub with baking soda. (If you're female, rinse well ! We don't want to add yeast to the problems.)
5. Before taking the plunge, know this. All your worries and problems won't do anything while you're in there, so try to just give yourself a break!!!

I haven't personally tried it, but I really hope it works! [Big Grin]

Good Luck
[Smile]
Ali

PS- If it does work, let me know. I've always gotten sick before vacations in the past and never knew why. [Roll Eyes]

a lyme flare just ruined my vacation

i wish i would have just stayed home

i feel safer at home, and heck, i can feel miseraable anywhere. why pay a bunch of money to be miserable on vacation when one can be justas miserable at home?

LOL

we cut our trip short

I'll definately try the above relaxation methods.Hopefully some of the rooms will have a jetted tub. I'll be sure to pack my favorite candle too.

Stress is one of my big things that sets me off.
Needless to say getting ready for vacation, sending off son to college, big llmd appointment tomorrow = stress!

Hopefully I'll settle down before I go. Not going at this point is not an option. But I do know what you mean about staying home to feel miserable. I do that too much as is. Husband is really looking forward to this trip and he needs it as much as I do.

I'll just keep my figers crossed.

I hope you're able to enjoy yourself and relax a little.

Hopefully, the trip itself isn't a stressful one.

I'm leaving Saturday for a week at the beach. I'm looking forward to seeing the ocean again, and I'm grateful, because this time last year, I was too sick to go anywhere.

Anyway, have a wonderful time; I'm hoping you'll feel really good the whole time!

I just had to skip a trip to Maine with my partner and his extended family. I had a relapse due to the stress of anticipating my partner's 6-year old driving me crazy (he doesn't live with us, and was spending a 12-day summer vacation with us). I stayed home by myself for a week. It was actually nice to have the peace and quiet.

Well, today is your last day before you leave...I hope you are feeling better! Maybe you can spend some time relaxing today? Pack in the morning and relax and/or go for a walk in the afternoon?
