Hi Jerry,
I see that no-one's responded yet, so I'll tell you my opinions.
I was very recently diagnosed with Lyme, but I've been ill since '99. My doc. recommended the infrared sauna for me because of my high mercury levels and mold problems (although isn't there some correspondence between mold & Lyme?).
I bought my own unit because I couldn't find one to use. I started in July and I *LOVE* it. I think it really makes a difference.
I'll go in feeling really tired, and come out feeling refreshed & slighly energized. And it just feels good to be sweating so much. I use it for about 40 minutes every day.
BTW, I can't stand the intense heat of traditional saunas.
I read recently that the spirochites don't like heat, so I hope it's helping fight the Lyme.
