[woohoo]

I got my catheter removed and I am home without it for the first time in 4 whole weeks!!!

I am peeing painfully--mostly bladder spasms, but not as bad as I have had them in the past.

Bad news is that the ureter continues to close down as a result of the stricture. Another stent was placed and more surgery is scheduled. This surgery will involve an endometriosis expert alongside of my urologist. Melanie referes to this as the DYNAMIC DUO [Big Grin]

More bad news is that CT scans show more complex cysts in my pelvis in the remaining ovary, the other ureter is being pulled into the ceneter of my abdomen by what is thought to be adhesions and my fibroid uterus just gets larger and larger. There is a very high likely hood I am facing full hystorectomy at 34. Even after excision and lots of good therapy endo is eating up my insides.

BUT....

I can pee in the bath and tonight I did. 4 times and it was the most glorious feeling in the world!

Come on in,
the water is FINE!

WooHoo, Trails!
Glad you can PYP again! [Big Grin]

I'm so sorry to hear about the other bad stuff with the endo and hope it all gets straightened out to a much better place soon...

but at least you can pee in the tub. Horray!

(ok, even I can't believe I just said that.) [lol]

YIPPEE ... PEE TIME AGAIN!

Remember the long thread we had about peeing in the bathrub; you give it new meaning on your personal experience here.

So sorry to read about the other; but perhaps you can FINALLY be done with ALL these painful surgeries even at your own young age.

Praying for you Trails. Bettyg [group hug] [kiss]

Ah- reminds me of the time I was discharged from the hospital with a catheter-at the time I thought it was cool because I could stand up and pee like a man(when I emptied the bag).

But then the darn thing became dislodged somehow, necessitating a trip to the ER-my 17 year old was mortified about driving her old lady to the hospital with a catheter falling out.

I sure did some waddling with that one-anyway they took me on the "Fast Track" and a tech came within the hour to remove it the rest of the way. I have blocked the physical pain but I do remember how desperate I was.

BUT then I had to stay there for hours until 1..) I could demonstrate that I could pee on my own or 2.) they would decide to put another catheter in.

[Eek!]

I drank and drank and drank water from styrofoam cups-and finally wet my diaper ! Proof positive when someone finally came back to check on me.

I'll be honest with you though-I'm afraid to pee in the tub because I'm afraid of the "backwash" which might suck bacteria back into my bladder.
I prefer the shower.

i wish i had a servicable bathtub to try peeing in. it must be a wonderfully freeing experience and i am very happy you can enjoy this again.

as far as the possible hysterectomy goes, that's going to be tough. i do know a few women who had one in their thirties. not easy, but do-able - they said. they are now in their fifties and sixties.

meantime---happy peeing

For anyone facing a hysterectomy I recommend Hystersisters.com
I went there for information and support just before my total hysterectomy and bladder repair. I haven't visited there lately for a couple reasons- I now have lymenet and I can't remember my password !

Super cool that you can pee in the tub! Progress!

I second Carol's hystersisters.com recommendation - helped me, too. I had a hyst at 28 (endo, also).

Hang in there, girl.
