Hello everyone, after a year and a half of not working I have gone back to work. Was it a good

idea? I guess I will find out. I found an antibiotic that is working and I am also on

thyroid medication that is helping with my energy. I seem to have found a good combination. I pray

that I continue to feel better. The last 3 1/2 months I have felt about 80% better. My energy is

better, my monthly herxes are better, my mind is working..everything. I still have a long way to

go but I think part of my issue is that I just could not sit at home anymore. I felt like I was

just wasting away in my home. It was making me depressed. So I have been working for a week now

and my mental state is so much better. I think that was a huge part of the puzzle for me. I hope

I don't get sicker but I figgure that I can always stop working again.

Wish me luck!!

Merrie,

Congratulations. I was curious as to what abx and what thyroid you found help too.

I have been trying cordef but stopped. I am getting ready to try it again.

I know that thyroid tests are not always accurate too and others have found help with thyroid meds even if tests show they are fine.

I hope you are able to continue to work and learn to pace yourself...that is the tricky part. [Smile]

Absolutely fabulous!!!!! Good for you.

I've been back to working full time for the past 2 months. It's tuff but worth it.

CONGRATS MERRIE! Nice reading where someone is MAKING IMPROVEMENTS and returning to the work force.

Yes, please listen to your gut feelings, and do not overdo what it took so long to get you where you are today! Thanks for coming back to post.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I am on armour thyroid and Zithromax. My Thyroid levels

were normal but I had the "symptoms" of thyroid issues so my doctor suggested I try it. It worked!

I work in customer service for medical insurance. I have worked in the medical insurance industry for

most of my adult life so it's what I know. So far so good.

I haven't posted lately. I guess I wanted to not think about my illness. Sometimes if I start

reading too much or posting I start focusing on my illness and I want to focus on getting better. I

don't know if that makes sense.

Thanks again everyone!

Merrie,

I think it's GREAT that you've felt well enough to go back to work.

Like you, that's something I've done in the past 10 days, and psychologically, it's been a real boost! In my case, it had actually been about 4 years since I'd been in an office.

I'm back now on a 4-day-a-week consulting basis.

I think the trick is keeping a balance with everything, so I don't end up exhausting myself.

I really iknow what you mean about the difference it can make in your mental state, and I'm just so glad this is working out for you!

Congratulations, Merrie!

Andie
