HI everyone,

I looked in the store and I dont know

they only had one for begginners and that looked a bit difficult.

I have been completely couch bound more than once and spent lots of time during the past 6 years barley moving around...

so you can imagine what shape my muscles are in...

If anyone knows of a easy good yoga tape they could reccomend to me I would appreciate....

I need one that would be good for someone about 85 [bonk]

I see I said tape but either tape or dvd ...my mom has both.

Thanks everyone [Smile]

Hi Azure,

I like these two series as they are gentle, good for those days when my stamina is low.

Kripalu Yoga
yoga mastering the basics

And Happy New Year!

Hi Azure

I have been using the same video for a long time, so much so that I can do it in my head, without the video. Removes all that downtime-chatting they do. It's a half hour, so now I can do it on my own in 20 minutes. Very basic. You do not need to hold the poses long, and she often modifies the poses.

Lilias Yoga Basics
Here's a link for it at amazon (I don't know how to do that fancy linking - maybe I'll learn some day . . . )

I do feel much better after doing this. I keep forgetting though. I just did it the past two evenings. I need to try and do it every day - 20 minutes - I should have no excuses.

And, thanks Serendipity - I'll check those you mentioned out too.

there's a couple of tapes called "yoga for the rest of us" which demonstrate modified positions with the help of props like chairs. the woman who started this works a lot with older people and people with medical conditions, so it takes into account your lack of stamina, strength, and muscle tone. here's the link http://amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/103-7327272-4505444?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=yoga+for+the+rest+of+us&Go.x=6&Go.y=9

good luck...still trying to get a regular practice going. everything around where i live seems to be too advanced..
