Hello everyone sorry I have not been on in some time but have just been barly getting by lately and now i,m here for Help my older sister has come down with lyme disease and back to back stokes and the drs here in sussex county are clueless . I would have brought her to the tick born disease center but I heard what happened to them and i,m not going to be able to get her to go to south jersey just yet I need to find the very best Drs in north Jersey that can be of help including the stokes they are afraid she is going to have another one at any time so I have to work fast I know of drs F and Drs G but I do not have there contact info Numbers addresses ect please e mail me at [email protected] or call me at home at 973-362-1464 I need to work very fAST . Hi. I think the link between Lyme and stroke is related to meningitis caused by Lyme.
Has she been tested for meningitis?

Did they put her on a blood thinner? That would be the safest thing to do. I hope you can find a good LLMD right away!

In 1992, I asked a LLMD about small strokes caused by Lyme. He said that small strokes are caused by inflammation in the blood vessels of the brain.
As the inflammation causes the blood vessel to swell, the blood supply is reduced or blocked causing the stroke.
Not sure about more severe strokes.
After 15 years, I don't know if this info would still be considered accurate or not, but it makes sense to me.
So sorry to hear about your sister. You said she has "come down with Lyme disease".
How severe were her strokes? Has a dr diagnosed her with Lyme? Has she been tested for Lyme and/or co-infections? Is she on any antibiotics?

as I recall - the neuro toxins can cause vasculitis (swelling in the vessels in the brain) - especially in the hyper intensity areas -- thereby increasing the chance of a stroke
So sorry for your sister - will pray for you and her

Hello the two strokes came 24 hrs apart they were thinking ishams strokes but the testing has not shown this to be the case the only hints we have are 1 red blotches all over her skin very dull not like any lyme rash i have ever seen but its in my mind 2 she has a bad sinusitis infection and a mild ear infection .
but befor the strokes she was exibiting all the common lyme simptoms such as iritable loss of memory fatuge fear hot and cold flashes to the extreem ps in 60s allready past met
but she does live next to a small river in a swampy area in northern NJ so her potential for lyme is very High again any help thank you Aries

hbot may be approved for stroke by the fda, and most,if not all types of insurance.
hbot is supposed to provide excellent results for many, if not all kinds of strokes, i should think ischemic strokes in particular; arterial hemorrhage might be a different matter, but i don't really know.
