For the first time since Oct. 2001, I woke up without feeling like a truck had run me over.

Normal felt really abnormal this am.

I was aware that the mattress was holding me up and supporting me instead of that heavy weight feeling I usually have of gravity being stronger than it was when I was "normal".

I also was aware of the flannel sheets under me. I could actually feel them on my skin....and the blankets.

With the pain out of the way, I was aware of things I had not felt in a long time.

It did not last long...as soon as I started to move the old lyme body was back.

But, I am hoping to have many more mornings like it.

Kam,
On another forum I saw pics of state troopers pulling 18 wheelers up hills with their 4 wheel drives, traffic was really goofed up!! Are you having a deep winter moment there that made you feel better??

Hope 'the feeling' you got, gets normal and more used to day after every day!!

Or are your abx really kicking in

kam, hope this starts better days for you without pain.

my occasions without pain were after dad's funeral; we all gathered at our century farm with us 22, 1st cousins together for one last time in the old house built 1917. went to lawyers afterwards for reading of will.

got home....emotionally, spiritually, and physically tired so went to bed for a nap.

woke up 2-3 hrs. later with NO PAIN! wow, that felt good. then i felt a big GROUP HUG from dad, mom, my sister, and sister-in-law, who all came down from heaven to comfort me.

wow....no pain and complete love in that room. i didn't want to leave; wanted to savor every minute there was.

finally left and told my hubby about this extraordinar experience. 3-4 nights later, this happened again! WOW, WHAT MEMORIES; WILL NEVER FORGET THIS OCCASION. [Big Grin]

YAY!*)!*)!! That is how my back to normal began with me- just one moment without pain- and now I only have a few minutes of pain in my left knee a month and otherwise nothing abnormal!!!!!!!!!!!!
