Hi everyone,

I've hunted around the net but can't seem to find the answer to my question.

Is it important & beneficial to report my CDC positive WB to my health dept? What good would it do? Would help me & others or bring harm?

Just really wondering!

Kayda

Why don't you post this in Medical?

I think the dr has to report it...but I'm not sure.

I say report it, especially becasue you are in the midwest.

Maybe this will eventually help drs and the public recognize "it" is out there, in your area!

kay, in iowa, this is the way it worked when i was correctly diagnosed 6-04:

either the MD making the CLINICAL DX OF LYME disease OR

the blood lab receiving the results back from testing lab!

i made sure my pcp reported me since i was hist FIRST CHRONIC LYME PATIENT! he hadn't; nor had the clinic blood lab!

others have said every state is DIFFERENT!

you could look online for your state's headquarters; i believe when i was looking at our governor's site, it listed the public health dept., and i used the links there to email them.

good luck; let us know what you find out ok kay! thx! [Big Grin]

kay, can you copy the other responses you got to this one so they are all together, and then delete the duplicate that accidentally got posted.
