One mile from my home. I had some more test (thyroid) and am having a test on Friday. I will see him again on Monday. He is talking about putting me on orals until I get back from Florida in April and then starting me after that on IV. He thought I would have a hard time finding someone to put the port in. I told him that is pretty much all that has been offered to me and that was my wonderful, wonderful surgeon.
This doc was nice, patient and and said the only real words I wanted to hear. I WILL HELP YOU.
He just got back from an ILADS conference. He prefers to use Igenix as a Lab. I just listened.

I'm really hopeful, Yourtroubl!!
TO EVERYONE ELSE:
I noticed on another thread that nobody had ever heard of this doc.
Well, I had heard of him and passed his name on to Yourtroubl. Come to find out, she had heard of him already from another source.
This doc's name was given to me about a year-and-a-half ago by an ILADS member. It was just a name I was given, with no further information. I trust this source over at ILADS as being very careful about who she recommends, so I thought it was certainly worth more investigation.
So, you can all blame ME if this doc doesn't turn out to be that wonderful, but don't blame Yourtroubl. She's doing the best she can here with the information provided to her.
Just thought I'd clear that up. Anyone interested may commence chewing me out at your earliest convenience.

Typo/freudian slip?:
Savior -someone who will come to your rescue
Savoir - French for "to know" - someone who knows how to help!
Hopefully you got both! Good luck!

I have you guys to thanks. IF it had not been for you and my husband I think I would have just gone to bed and given up. Now mind you I just feel like going to bed today and am but I have hope.
If nothing else I can already tell you that he is a very nice person. Very easy to talk to. I told him I was at wits end and he was calming. His staff is also wonderful. I like my small community and I am so comfortable being treated here although I have access to the larger cities.

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!
Truthfinder....You're not in trouble AT ALL! We were worried she had gotten the name from someone who didn't know anything about chronic Lyme.
I think you know a few things about chronic Lyme!!!
