This helps improve many many health problems!! Vegetarians commonly suffer from the following but applies to anyone as well :

Aching, painful jounts & muscles
Chest pains
Cracked nails
Depression
Dry hair & skin
Dry mouth mucous membranes
Exzema, psoriasis & other skin conditions
Fatigue, malaise, lackluster energy, lack of endurance
Forgetfulness
Frequent colds & flu
Inability to concentrate
Indegestion, gas, bloating
Irreguar heartbeat ( As well as does CoQ-10 )
Lack of motivation
Premature wrinkling of skin

I have experienced improvements myself of many on this list & can vouch for benefits of taking flaxseed oil.

I eat food bars every day tha has smple flaxseeds & oil in them called Omega-3 Cocoanut bars.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I used to experience irregular heartbeats as a teenager & under severe stress at home. After dreading about CoQ-10 & started taking a chewable form of 30 mg a day. no more problem-. My heart was always surprisingly strong all..things considered.

Hope this opens up a door for you too! It so so important to eat properly !

Natural amber color Barlean's contains thew highes lignan content & is pure milled.

[Eek!] Beware of rancid flax see oils. I buy Barlean's & it is made ot order & does not sit in a warehouse...nor is it refined or filtered to extend shelf-life...

Where did you get this list? I got some of these things as a result of Lyme etc., but I've been a vegetarian for years and had none of these problems before I had Lyme.

Furthermore, I know many vegetarians, and the only effects that any of them ever reported to me were good effects! (part of my motivation for joining theit ranks). And I have had a similar experience- many FEWER problems in all the listed areas. Talk about misinformation!

Or is this meant as a joke, or as an example of a b-s-laden website? ?? (the address doesn't appear, nor does the source of the, uh,.. ...'information'... , though...).

I will agree, though, that flaxseed is excellent health-wise. The oil from the flaxseeds is very healthy, and is incredibly delicious! I didn't discover it until after I got Lyme and co-infections, and had to become much more "nutricionally aware".

Linda!

I'm so glad you mentioned the amber color of Barlean's! I bought some that came out so dark that I returned it pronto. Do you think that it was supposed to look like that?

I take the oil in my morning yogurt shake.

I'll be looking for those Flaxseed Coconut Bars. Where do you get them? What brand?

I have difficulty with most supplements so I really try to keep up with the Flaxseed oil, seeds as well as Omega-Fish Oils.

Best,

Good you are paying attention to color and smell.
Flax seed oil is toxic if rancid and it turns racid easily.

In my view, it is extremely beneficial stuff, but I think it's worth investigating flax seed in other forms.
