Is it ok to have oatmeal as far as yeast problems are concerned?

Sorry Mr. Tom...
I have not a clue if there even are rules on oatmeal... golly I hope not as there are too many rules in life now.
However.. MY rule of thumb is..
Everything in moderation.
I wouldn't eat oatmeal cookies 3 meals a day for a week. And if I DID I sure wouldn't TELL anyone.
But as a breakfast food (minus honey, molassass, sugar, brown sugars and syrup, etc- you know the stuff that makes it TASTE good)... I wouldn't see why not.
Live a little. Splurge! Eat some oatmeal!
It's Friday night. No rules on Friday night. And if you are feeling REALLY wild... take a bath in it too! (Or do we wait till Saturday night for THAT special event?)
Actually.. it is a carb based food... and yeast kinda likes that. But if you are going to eat carbs... this I would think would be a good choice. And we NEED some carbs or our brains won't function.
Which by the way.. is what I think is wrong with some of the people here... but don't tell them I said so. (You'll know who they are.. they will reply.... and by THAT you can tell!)
Have a good weekend!

I do not have a candida problem, and I do eat carbs. I avoid sugar and sugary foods, but I eat gluten-free pasta, hot rice cereal (I can't have oatmeal because of the gluten), gf bread, popcorn, etc. I feel better when I eat carbs, but I try to eat good ones and stay away from anything sugary.
If I developed a problem with candida, I would avoid more carbs than I do.
I take a lot of probiotics and Nystatin to avoid developing a candida problem.
I would think oatmeal, being a whole grain, would be a good choice.

I dont know if i have a candida problem or not, but i was reading thru burrascano's recommendations concerning lyme, and the part about yeast. So i figured everyone with lyme should avoid those things.
How do i know if i have a yeasst problem?

I thought people with Lyme should avoid gluten anyway so that rules out oatmeal? I do not do well on gluten anyway so I no longer eat it. I wish I could I crave garlic bread.
I must say there is one company that does make decent brn rice pasta. I think I will make some now.

He seems to be exposing himself lately too. He might be in need of an ankle bracelet. I think Martha Stewart is selling hers on EBay.
