What is the recommended chemical to spray on your lawn to reduce no. of ticks?

Which is better killing ticks - Sevin or Tempo?

Do either have a residual?

Sevin.

See Tincup's post on this. [Smile]

I haven't been here in ages. Sicker than sick and discouraged. [Frown]

We've often used Sevin, but can the ticks become resistant? We've switched it up from time to time with standard pesticides, but I think Sevin rules.

I've worried about dragging Sevin in the house as I have MCS. I wonder if a quick wipe to the shoes would help.

Pineapple: Sevin only has to be applied twice per season, I believe. We do spring and fall.

Pineapple: Glad to hear that you are treating the lawn. I often wonder that I probably was bitten sitting on my patio or walking on the grass right outside my apartment. I don't think most people realize the threat doesnt have to be in the woods but right at your backdoor.

Good luck with the project.
