My 3yr daughter was bite by something while camping a month ago. She was taken to the ER twice and they said she had Hand Foot and Mouth. She started off with what in hindsight I realize was a bullseye rash. But what caught my attention was her viral infection symptoms along with a rash on her hands and feet. The rash has now turned into an extemely itchy, inflamed rash on her hands and feet. She has also started a red pimple like rash on her stomach and down her leg. She was taken to a new doctor on Wed. she dx was lyme disease and it is all making sense now. What is the rash? Her blood test will be back Mon. What other tests should I have her get...any help is greatly appreciate, I am worried sick. She is extremely fatigued and is on amoxicillin.

I too got my Lyme Disease at the age of 3 when we lived on a farm in Prosperity Pennsylvania.

The good news to you is that there are several good LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctors) in Pennsylvania.

Go to the "Seeking Doctor" forum on this site and put in that you need a LLMD in what ever part of PA you live in.

Get to a good doc. and he will know all the tests you need.

Good luck, and keep fighting for her. I'm now 31 years old and had a hard time growing up due to this darn bug! But now days, things have come a long way and a good doc can help out tons.

The pimple like rash you were describing sounds like it might be Bartonella too.

Make sure you look into co-infections. Ticks can carry much more than just Lyme.

I hope your child starts feeling better soon!!!!

welcome pookie; so sorry to read of your little one w/lyme! you've gotten great info.

on the photos you take, use coins to show size of rash vs. coin or for larger ones, use $1.00 bill ok! date these!!

i'll send you my newbie package; look in your private messages ok!

i see marion b took care of you for a llmd good!

yes, you should be worried .... you need to get her CURED AT THIS STATE vs. NOT ENOUGH ANTIBIOTICS and forcing her to end up like us .... chronic lyme for decades!!

keep after the md for 3-4 months of antibiotics to CURE HER!
