I know I have lyme or co-infections from getting bit by a tick a month 1/2 ago. had bulls-eye rash

and all of the horrifying symptoms ever since.

had 10 days of doxy bid
and 21 days of 500 mg amoxicillin tid.

my doctor don't think it is lyme because of the neg test result.... he thinks it's anxiety....
OH PLEASE...ANXIETY DOESN'T FEEL LIKE THIS!!!!

Although my lyme antibody test came back negative
( blood was drawn & tested 3 weeks after bite)
this is probably why it was neg.

I have this pain in the front of my neck and face ( hurts in my jaw joints close to my ears.

I feel a weird feeling in the bottom of my

throat like something is lodged in the bottom of my throat.

What the heck is causing this???
there isn't but it feels that way.

I NEED A LYME DOCTOR QUICK THAT KNOW WHAT THE HECK THEY ARE DOING!

I have alot at stake ( family, job, etc.)

please help!

Jayne,
Maybe I missed it,,,but what mg strength of doxy does your doc have you on??

From reading here MOST ducks use 200mg,,,I saw where somebody said 300mg was absolute minimum,,,400mg MUCH better

IF your dose isnt high enough,,its like throwing it in the wind and the keets are winning the war.--just don--

Jayne, you do need an LLMD. Where do you live?

You might want to post your city/state in the seeking doctor part of the forum.

Jayne, Lyme hits the cranial nerves early on. That's why you have the upper body symptoms. You can also check with your area support groups listed in the support group section here for LLMD referrals.

Jayne, I kept telling my docs that the anxiety FOLLOWED the symptoms, yet they were convinced the anxiety was merely causing (psychosomatic) symptoms.

If you're anxiety is this bad though, I doubt you only have Lyme. I'd recommend getting a malaria test, even if you've never been out of the US.

Mine just came back equivocal - and after this, anything is possible.

Good advice Jayne,

Don't be too worried...if that's possible.

I don't really remember all the symptoms leading up to my facial "Bell's Palsey" which affects the peripheral nerves of the face and pulls them downward.

This numbness could also be that lump in your throat. I experienced the same sensations or at least, very similar.

Most ducks will tell you that either "no one knows" what causes this type of nerve problem.
Or they may tell you, it's a slight stroke. like a stroke of any kind is "slight".

Whatever it is...it's probably just a nerve thing going on which will clear up when you get to a LLMD and he/she puts you on appropriate dosage of antibiotics.

There should be NO residual dammage.

This is just something our lyme buddy likes to play around with.
