We've had around 30+ members join from Penn. in last 2-3 days. has there been extensive newspaper/tv coverage there to get so many from ONE state?

Im from Penn, and i havent seen anything in the papers, i just think its the time for people to get sick. I got sick in August 05.
However, i did see an add in the local paper for tick removal from your property,
i think spraying of some sort. I was shocked to see it! since we dont have lyme here. or if we do, you cant have it.
Ive seen a few people from PA pop up on another msg board too... sad.

I'm from PA & new to the site. Nothing in my local news to bring me here, I was just researching western blot test and arrived here.
As for PA & Lyme.... in my small road of 7 houses, 4 have someone with Lyme, myself (and my dog) included. Everyone knows someone else with Lyme also. Our local doctors are blind to it - 10 days low dose antibiotics is enough apparently so I travel to a doc.
I am newly diagnosed, hopefully caught early enough & still on antibiotics, but others are not. My elderly neighbor has been petitioning local government & recently organized a collection of ticks. Anytime we found a tick, we'd bag it & freeze it. After a few weeks, he sent them to a government dept in the hopes they will test them and do something about the problem. What they will do, I have no clue.

Our support group- )York Lyme Support Group has been very active in "Lyme Awareness". Our support group chair was featured on a Harrisburg Talk show-"Smart Talk" a couple of months ago and on a local TV news channel. So if this in anyway has made an impact, then I say YAHOO- because that is certainly our goal. My son was diagnosed in August 2005, and at that time I sure wish I new half of what I know now, possibly my son would not be in the battle he is in.
