What an awful tragedy! I have relatives and old friends there. We heard from our nephew and he and his family are okay. Haven't been able to contact some others.
I hope Lyme patients who live there will check in here.

Hi, I live 15 minuites from the bridge. I drive
that all the time. I can't imagine the people
that are involved. I called all of my family
and friends last nite to make sure none of them
were on it. Then the phones jammed and I
couldn't call anyone. Everyone is fine though.
I haven't been able to turn the TV off. Its
crazy and so very sad.
I pray for all of the people who are missing...

My heart sank when it happened and sank again when darkness fell. I knew those in the water were not going to get out.
Maybe we'll still have a miracle. I do know that the children on the school bus making it out OK was a miracle in itself.
Prayers are needed for all involved. There are many grieving families today.

It's a horrible tragedy. So far, there are 5 dead, 111 injured, and 8 missing people.
My husband works about a mile from the site. He doesn't cross the bridge to come home. He was home when the bridge collapsed.
