Yes, this is possible. 2 weeks of antibiotics
is not enough. you will most likely have to take

him to a Lyme literate doc. post in Seeking A Doctor to find one closest to you. The quicker

the better so he doesn't spend years on antibiotics.

Good Luck

Definitely undertreated and with the bulls-eye defnitely Lyme!!!!!!!!!!! GET HIM TO A LLMD or he could be sick HIS WHOLE LIFE!!!!

Glad you are here for him.
Thank goodness, poor kid.

Welcome!!! I hope you get him real help asap with a doc from SeekinG Doctors column and that he recovers quickly- otherwise could get bad or just chronic forever-

You sound like a good Mom.

Shortly: the insurance standard of care for Lyme is inadequate but doctors won't challenge it. So you will have doctors undertreat him unless you go to a Lyme doc.
Take care-

PLEASE find a lyme doc ASAP!!!

He could have coinfections, such as babesia or bartonella.

Chills, fever, nausea MIGHT indicate babesia, as well as the fainting.

Swollen lymph glands COULD BE from bartonella. Get him some REAL help right away!

Both of these coninfections require different meds than Lyme does. That's why you need an expert!
