I'm curious to hear your answers. Posted by peacemom (Member # 12114) on :
15+ years and still waiting - yet I always try to be optimistic and positive that this too shall pass!
I am not my lyme disease - it is just another learning lesson in life.
That is how I cope.
Good luck and be well.

Two years of treatment before I began turning the corner....44 years after being Lymed. Now 48 yrs and counting. Confused?? me too! Posted by savebabe (Member # 9847) on :
I started turning the corner three years into treatment.
Now, I feel my lyme symptoms everday, but I am able to have a life.

I only just recently started to feel quite a bit better, 4 years into treatment.
Now, like savebabe, I feel the disease all the time but I'm able to live again most of the time.
It seems so good!!

Eight months into treatment and I feel 80% when I'm not herxing. I have regular herxes every 21 days, and herx when I change meds. So, I generally have a week of feeling bad followed by two weeks of feeling almost normal.
I had my amalgams out back in 1991, so there wasn't much heavy metal chelation for me, just a little lead and barely any mercury. I think not having to deal much with metals has helped me tremendously.

started feeling better in 3 months, could start planning my life more than one day at a time in 3 years, still on maintenance therapy and doing well.
