I lost my password and couldn't figure out how to get a new one. I just found it on my external hard drive..DUH!

my tests came back showing OLD LYME (THE igg?) and new Lyme (Igm?) with..
rickettsia
mycoplasma
bartonella

was treated with doxy for 4 weeks, then
started leviquin until november.

however.
today I found ANOTHER Lonestar tick on me.

what is strange is, when I got home, I checked myself from HEAD TO TOE..and really checked GOOD.

THEN I TOOk a nap. woke up a few hours later, and
had an itch on my foot. there was this small lonestar...

I'm wondering...could it have been a nymph? it was definitely not visible when I checked earlier.

and was pretty small when I did see him hours later.

looks like they are breeding again here on Long Island.

I thought they only did that in the spring.

I have the tick in a jar, he'll be going with me to the doctor this week.

I wonder, though, if this tick has infections, will I be able to go on doxy with the leviquin?

hope everyone is doing better.

Better check your house and/or pets??!!

As Dr C says in the WB explanation:

"the IgM is positive more often in chronic lyme than the IgG..."

(paraphrased!)

Western Blot explanation:

[the section about the IgG and IgM is in bold in the above link]

I'm glad you at least found the tick so you can ward off any new problems.
