I have emailed this to a couple of yahoo Lyme groups and appologize if it is a repeat again!

I just wanted to let you know that the South Shore Lyme Support meeting in MA went well!

We had about 6-7 people come! We ran out
of time which was too bad because we didn't get to go through all the info we had.

It made me feel good to help these people. It also made me sad to see and hear about those who are sick especially kids.

But I started the support group to inform and educate people. Thanks to my partner for
all your help! You know who you are and I couldn't have done it with out you.

My partner put all of the folders of info together and gave the talk very eloquently.

I can't get their faces out of my mind and I now I am worried about them.

But at least they got some info and my number and email and all kinds of resources. It is a start and I am happy to help folks.

It is scarey to see how little is known about this terrible
disease.

thanks to everyone for getting the word out for us! Next meeting is
November 5th.

Thanks again,
Melissa

Isn't it neat? Over the years, some of the support group folks have come to be dear, dear friends and I truly love them with all my heart.
You will also probably find, as I do, many people locally who will choose just to contact you and have phone calls or separate meetings rather than attend a big group (and to some people 6 or 7 is HUGE*)!!!

I am very glad it went well!!! It sounds great!!! I am glad you had someone to assist you- it makes a big difference.

Sincerely,

Melissa,

You are definitely a great asset to your community. I remember the very first local support meeting I attended. I was still in a huge fog, but yet remember the impact it made so well.

And yes, when we all share this same bond of this horrid illness, it does help to not feel so alone in this world.

Keep it going and let us know how the meetings progress.

Cathy
