I'm out of the hospital. I had surgery last Wednesday, but had an adrenal crisis on Thursday night where I became unresponsive due to my potassium, magnesium and cortisol levels becoming too low.

I have bruising everywhere from the IVs and sternal rubs...ugh.

For those wondering I had to have surgery to remove a tumor on my pituitary gland...my cortisol levels were way too high and it was around an internal carotid artery and causing major problems with my vision.

It has been a long hard road to get a diagnosis. But hopefully will be on the road to recovery now.

I'm in Florida until Feb 11 for follow up with the specialist here. I'm staying with my twin daughters sleeping on an airmattress in their living room.

My husband went back to Alaska, hopefully we will be able to manage to hold on and not lose the lodge. I want to get back to work in a couple of months.

Thanks for thinking of me. Tamera

Tamera!!!!

I too have been thinking of you and wondering how you have been doing. Glad you have the surgery behind you and hopefully you will be able to move on and feel better again. Being sick is a DRAG!

It's nice you are able to spend some time with your twin daughters but know you will be anxious to get back to your lodge with your husband too.

Thanks for keeping us up to date and I hope you will continue to let us know how you are doing.

Cathy
