Thanks for all your kind responses to "My Mom just got diagnosed." I really appreciate all your support right off the bat.
She doesn't think that this is a very big deal but she also said that her first appointment is in a few weeks with her regular doctor so she probably hasn't been told much of anything yet. She said her regular doctor didn't mention anything about an LLMD. She's a little surprised about how serious I am taking this whole thing. I just think she doesn't know because her doctor hasn't indicated that it's anything to worry about.
I will keep on top of this, help her to schedule an appointment with a local LLMD, and let her know about this website.

Glad you are going to stay on top of this for her.
Just a word of caution. You need to look for the best LLMD you can find. It may not be someone local. You can post in Seeking a Doctor Forum for this.
Her regular doctor probably has never heard of the term LLMD. That's normal. It's something we coined to differentiate between those who know how to treat Lyme effectively and those who do not.
Keep us posted on how she's doing. And don't give up!
