I have had lyme for several years and since finding this wonderful website, I keep seeing many of you mention detoxing. I have never been told about this from my LLMD and was hoping someone could fill me in on what is involved and how to go about getting started. Thanks, Kris

Hi, weird that an LLMD would not promote or mention detoxing?!

Detoxing is one of THE MOST important aspects of healing. Whether on abx or not.

I detox by taking detox baths, taking milk thistle, I drink 2 shots of apple cider vinegar daily, drink LOTS of real lemon water.
You need to find what works best for you. But it's KEY to keep the liver and intestines clean

I'm sure many here have other ways they detox that work for them.

Don't let anyone tell you detoxing is not imperative, because that's hogwash.

Hey peacesoul (it's me from healing well),

what do the 2 shots of apple cider vinegar do? do you keep it in the refrigerator?

thanks!

Apple cider vinegar has many health benefits .... Google Bragg's apple cider vinegar ... it has to be a pure vinegar like Bragg's.

I also drink lots of lemon water ... about two quarts or more of water daily.

Eat a pure diet (as few toxins, sugars, etc. as possible).

Saunas, coffee enemas, herbs (parsley, burbur, milk thistle, pinella, etc.), exercise ...

Breathing exercises can help detox carbon dioxide and produce a more alkalinic body by increasing oxygen. The extra oxygen can also help the body process the abx or whatever supplements are being taken. Yoga has a number of them you can research on the web. I'll just post a link I found quickly on the net. The best part of it -- no cost.

Hey M......I keep it out, but I guess since it's vinegar, it's ok to leave out.
It has to be organic, non pasturized and with "mother" in it

here is a good site. Let me know what you think

those of you drinking lemon water, are you SCRUBBING THOSE LEMONS GOOD?

just this week, i received a powerpoint video about lemons tested in drinking water at restaurants by this health team.

70% of them have bacteria or FECAL on them!!

not to be gross, but passing along what i viewed and read their transcription of it.

I drink half my body weight in water everyday (105 oz). Looks like i need to start adding some
lemom to my water

I go in the sauna at least 5 times a week for 20 minutes. This is my favorite detox and seems to help the most. I'm about to buy a sauna for home. That's how much it helps me.

Also I take epsom salt bath. 4 cups of salt in a WARM bath tub for about 10 minutes. just started doing this. No sure how good it works

speaking about detoxing the liver, has anyone seen the Traditional Medicinals Every day detox to promote Healthy Liver function tea?? I just found it at the store yesterday. Thought I would give it a try.

BettyG, I only squeeze the lemons in my water, I do not drop them into the glass after they are squeezed .... I do the same whether at home or a restaurant!

Hubby worked in a bar years ago, he is the one who got me started on that over 20 years ago.

I just rince my lemons with warm water before I cut them, I don't want to make myself crazy by worrying about every little bacteria. I mean heck, I ate dirt when I was a kid ;-)

Has anyone heard of DNR? This company sells a product that is called "Liquid Needle Body Soak". Our Naturopath recommended that our son use this twice a week for ten weeks. Our son also has had some detoxing issues.

This product costs $100, and apparently the most inexpensive way to purchase it is to become a dealer. This took me several weeks to do, because I'm suspicious. I just don't want to get in to any multi-level marketing business - not that there aren't some good ones out there.

So, I will definately let you know if this works, but it will be a couple of months before we can have him re-tested and have some measurable proof whether it worked.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this, and if it worked.

BTW, we're also doing lemon water and mild exercising for detox.
