Nicole is still throwing up. 3 weeks now?

Now she has diahrea too.

Can't take her meds anymore, hasn't for over a week.

Except probiotic, she still takes that.

LLMD said she needs to see gastro doc.

But we are still waiting for referal to pain clinic 4 months later,

how long for this referal??? [bonk]

Incredible pain, not sleeping - again!

Her local doc either not listening or Nicole not communicating.

I think he really is trying, but is overwelmed.

Local Doc is providing WAY MORE care than N's insurance program pays for,

so I am grateful, just frustrated.

I sent local doc all of LLMD's stuff a week before her appointment (with local Doc),

then typed out an easy to follow list of things needed immediately (change in meds, tests, pain protocol, etc)

which I emailed to local doc several days before appointment.

Local doc is so overwhelmed he didn't do most of them.

He didn't even look at the stuff until he walked into the appointment.

And the LLMD's recomendations and various papers are 2 inches thick! [dizzy]

He did authorize the tests, but Nicole hasn't had them done yet! [cussing]

Local doc had told Nicole - I hope she got this right, she is often confused -

that if LLMD wanted her hospitalized with IV antibiotic he (local doc) would do it.

So I called LLMD and asked him to call local doc and tell him she needs to be hospitalized

with IV antibiotics, get a gastro consult and a pain consult, do the tests, etc.

LLMD said have the local doc call him.

Local doc said, no, have the LLMD call HIM.

[puke]

So after multiple international calls the local docs nurse says she will have him call the LLMD.

But it is like a game of telephone tag where nobody really gets what anybody else is saying.

If they hospitalize her I will fly down and stay at the hospital with her.

That is the only way to get anything done right.

Can I change my screen name to NaziMom? [Mad]

N says she is coming up here next week, assuming she is not hospitalized.

I have 3 or 4 docs set up here in Canada.

All know we are looking for someone to follow up on LLMD recomendations and seem quite open to it.

It helps that she got tick-bit in southern U.S. since "there is no Lyme in Canada"

I just love these little Graemlins! [Big Grin]

NaziMom?? [Eek!] NO way! [Big Grin]

You're doing a great job, being proactive for your daughter, getting her the help she needs.

Sounds like your local Doc is the problem, how hard is it to read and call another Dr?

Be sure to make your recommendations come to the Dr in just that form, recommendations and not commandments (even though this one sounds like he needs it in this form!) his ego may not take it.

Others will come on and give lots of good advice, but I just wanted to voice what should be said, that you are an Awesome Mom--keep up the good work.

Reading the problems the "docs" have with communicating

Makes me want to go target practicing...if you know what I mean.

Can you do a 3 way conversation on the phone?

If so....take the bull by the horns and get these two together asap.

I would make the term Nazi Mom look nice....

Sending Nicole prayers and positive thoughts (and you too Mom)

Hugs,

Geneal
